Wallace’s Visit

Wallace’s visit to St George’s

In June we were visited by former member, Wallace Lai from Hong Kong. He also brought his parish priest from Hong Kong, the Revd Nigel Gibson, who was our guest preacher on 14 June, 2015. Wallace was joined for a week by his wife Julia and son Nic. Wallace writes:

We did have a lovely time in St George’s, especially visit to the Observatory and summer concert and I look forward to bring Nic and Julia to St George’s more often."

Janneke’s priesting

Janneke’s priesting

Sat 27 June 2015 (Petertide) saw the ordination to the priesthood of former churchwarden of St George’s, the Revd Dr Janneke Blokland, in Salisbury Cathedral. She celebrated her first Eucharist the next day in the parish church of Marlborough where Janneke is serving her curacy.

Members of St George’s travelled to be with Janneke on this special weekend.

Janneke will be preaching at St George’s and in the Frauenkirche in Dresden on 19 July.
